Martin A. Boggan, Vice President

Martin has been a professional in the IT field for over 30 years, with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Computer Science and a Certified Project Management Professional. Starting with the development of the earliest minicomputer-based point of sale systems, Martin has worked with a number of small companies in upstate New York working on the design of such applications as automated warehouse storage/retrieval, facility control and power management, and automated testing systems. He came to the Dallas area to develop item processing systems for the banking industry. Martin is currently a Software Engineer for Concentra, Inc. Marty has also served on the board as a Director and Chapter Webmaster over the past 4 years as well as treasurer.

Ray Gilliam, Past President

Ray Gilliam is employed with Amdocs. Prior to joining Amdocs, he held IT positions with the Dallas Housing Authority and Accenture, a telecommunications consulting group based in Irving Texas. His experience in the information technology sector includes application development and web based development within multiple industries with large-scale complex computer systems. Ray served as the Chapter President in 2008, 2009 and Chapter Treasurer for 2007, 2011.

Ross Emrie: Ross has been an Information Technology and process improvement professional for over 30 years, working with Fortune 500 companies like Texas Instruments and Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO Oil and Gas).  He is an Executive Consultant at Executives In Action.  He works with people in organizations to: improve processes, please customers, and propel profits.  As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and CMMI practitioner, he is accomplished at utilizing best practices to advance organization capabilities and profitability. He has been a member of AITP and the Dallas Chapter for over 27 years.

Mark Thouin, Director

Mark Thouin is the Director of Information Systems Programs at the University of Texas at Dallas where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses, promotes academic programs in information systems, and helps coordinate the information systems Industry Advisory Board (IAB). His research interests include the study of the clinical and administrative value of information technology in healthcare settings. He holds a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. Prior to joining UT Dallas, he worked for 13 years in a variety of management, technical, and business development positions providing IT consulting services.
